Mother's Day Tiger Lilly

I love the shades of orange on the Tiger Lilliy. I had some fun doing the photo shoot of these flowers before my kids presented them to their mom.

Tulip in Spring - 2010

I know it’s officially spring time when the tulips bloom in front my house. They were planted by my grandparents many many years ago. It’s a wonderful reminder of them when I see these flowers bloom.

Orange Butterfly

I was very fortunate to get this shot.  My oldest son and I were on one of our nature walks when I noticed this bright orange in the shrubs on the edge of the path.  I had to use the maximum zoom and the most stealth that I could muster.  Keep in mind, stealthy for me is like a bull elephant trying to be quiet in a wind chime store.  Unfortunately, I stirred up the natives (mosquitoes).  They got a good meal and I got this awesome shot! I love how the butterfly really sticks out from the green foliage.
